Terms of Service

Last updated 3 June 2026

These terms govern your use of EOFYmate. By using the site or unlocking full access, you agree to them.

1. What EOFYmate is

EOFYmate is an educational tax tool for Australian individuals. It helps you estimate your refund and understand the deductions you may be able to claim using published ATO rates, so you can prepare and lodge your own return or take a clear summary to a registered tax agent.

It is general information and indicative calculations only. It is not personal tax, financial or legal advice, it does not take into account your individual circumstances, and it does not lodge your return for you. You are responsible for what you lodge. Always confirm figures with the ATO or a registered tax agent before lodging.

2. No guarantee of accuracy

We work hard to use correct rates and formulas, but the figures EOFYmate produces are estimates and may differ from your actual assessment. The tool may not capture every offset, surcharge, or unusual income type. We do not warrant that the calculations are complete, current or error-free.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding agreement to purchase access.

4. Payment and access

  • Full access is a one-time payment of $14.99 AUD.
  • There is no subscription and no automatic renewal — you are charged once.
  • Access is available through to 31 October 2026 — the tax-return lodgment deadline — on the published 2025-26 ATO rates.
  • Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your card details.

5. Refunds

Access unlocks instantly, so we do not offer change-of-mind refunds. How refunds work — and your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, which we do not limit — are set out in our Refund Policy.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the service. In particular, you agree not to:

  • copy, resell, or redistribute the tool or its content;
  • attempt to bypass the paywall or access controls;
  • interfere with the security or operation of the service.

7. Intellectual property

The EOFYmate name, design, content and code are owned by us. Unlocking access grants you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the tool for your own tax — not a transfer of ownership.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, and subject to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, EOFYmate is provided “as is”. We are not liable for any loss, penalty, interest, or shortfall arising from your reliance on the estimates or from how you prepare or lodge your return. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to re-supplying the service or refunding the amount you paid.

9. Changes

We may update these terms or the service from time to time. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and you submit to the courts of that jurisdiction.
